SDA, Key player on Italy´s CEP-market, deepens membership with leading European network for parcels and pallets.

SDA Express Courier S.p.A. has become shareholder of EURODIS, the European distribution network for the transport of goods in parcel or pallet shipments (combifreight). The parcel and express subsidiary of Poste Italiane Group has taken 12.4% of shares of the lead company EURODIS GmbH from the main shareholders trans-o-flex and Österreichische Post AG. EURODIS and SDA concluded a cooperation contract in October 2011 and started the operative collaboration in March 2012. Using EURODIS, SDA expands the international offering with the product RoadEurope since April. “We are pleasantly surprised by the high demand and the dynamic volume development of our RoadEurope offer” Valter Catoni, CEO at SDA, states.

“Due to the positive volume development and the good quality, the partnership with SDA gives a good impulse for all EURODIS members and customers already after a short time of operational collaboration”, Carsten Siebe, General Manager at EURODIS GmbH, explains. “We are looking forward to future impulse from SDA for the further development of our network.” Peter Umundum, member of the Board responsible for parcel & logistic at Österreichische Post AG and Chairman of the Board at EURODIS GmbH, adds: „By transferring shares of EURODIS GmbH, the integration of SDA into the EURODIS network was successfully completed within a short time. This opens up new business possibilities in Italy, the fourth biggest European logistics market, for all EURODIS partners and their customers“.
