In January 2018 EURODIS, the international transport network for parcels and pallets, has increased the number of shipments by 22 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
In February the network reports a plus of 11 percent. “Cumulative this is a boost of 17 percent and an extremely good start of the year”, says Christian Knoblich. He is managing director of EURODIS GmbH, Weinheim, which steers the network covering 36 European countries. „We bring together strong national logistics companies and common international processes as well as quality standards. This meets the wish of shippers who expect on the one hand side huge country specific know how and on the other side internationally valid standards.” Therefore, Knoblich is confident to achieve double digit growth even for the whole year 2018.
Another reason for this estimate is the development of EURODIS in 2017. “Last year, we started quite slowly but saw a highly accelerated growth in the second half of the year”, adds Knoblich. “From July until December the number of shipments increased by 12 percent, in the last three months by 13 percent.” For the whole year EURODIS reports a plus of five percent. “Even this is a good development but for this year we are again aiming at a growth above average.” In 2016, EURODIS had seen an increase in shipment numbers of eleven percent.
