13.07.2017 | EURODIS awards best European logistics service providers

EURODIS, operating an international transport network for parcels and pallets covering 36 European countries, has awarded the German Schnell-Lieferdienst trans-o-flex and the Slovakian IN TIME as best European logistics service providers 2017.

Trans-o-flex has been granted with the price for “Best quality”, IN TIME for having the “Best sales team”. The awards ceremony took place in Bucharest during the network’s annual convention which was hosted by FAN Courier for the first time. FAN Courier, headquartered in the Romanian capital, belongs to the leading express service companies of the country and is member of EURODIS since 2016.

The quality competition of EURODIS saw the Croatian Overseas Express reaching the second place, followed by Bonafide from Switzerland. The gold medal for the best distribution quality in the whole network was personally received in Bucharest by Wolfgang P. Albeck, CEO of trans-o-flex. The basis for the quality award is provided by accuracy and speed in sticking exactly to the defined processes of the network from pick up to delivery. Part of this is for example compliance with the different shipment scans, electronic datatransfer of all scans, tracking information or proof of delivery (POD). The time frame of the competition has been a complete year from June 2016 until May 2017.  “We measure quality of each EURODIS shipment with the help of key performance indicators (KPI) to manage and improve our processes and to document our performance in detail towards our customers”, says Christian Knoblich, managing director of EURODIS GmbH, the company organising the network. “The continuous performance measurement enables us to offer an international benchmarking to our partners and they again are using this to improve their internal processes.”

Similarly this applies to the best sales procedures, strategies and results which EURODIS evaluates in the sales competition granting a price for the “Best sales team”. In this category the Österreichische Post followed IN TIME on the second place and British UK Mail reached the third one. “The Slovakian IN TIME again has shown a tremendous growth”, Knoblich adds. “The company has doubled its international volume for several years in a row, and now IN TIME injects the fourth largest number of shipments into EURODIS, even in absolute numbers. This is especially remarkable in regards to the size of the country.”

Moreover, the EURODIS partners used the convention in Romania to get a personal impression of the sites of the new network member FAN Courier. The company runs a fleet of 3,100 vehicles and has built a network out of 124 stations all over Romania. Founded in 1998 FAN Courier has won numerous awards from public media in recent years. Examples are awards for “Best leadership”, Best online service”, “Company of the year” (2014 and 2015), or “Superbrand” (leader in transport & courier service 2015-16).
